Characters

Inspired by our day-to-day lives and interactions, the Characters collection captures what it means to live with attributes. Personality traits and elements of the individual are always different from person to person and often change depending on moods, age, experience, and environments. I took these factors into consideration while creating this collection. I wanted to develop a way to capture those traits and characteristics we all express from time to time as we travel through our lives—as our own characters. I began creating individual characters that would capture just one specific facet of human nature. By working with open spaces, specific pattern selections, and moving body forms, I gave each piece specific characteristics. Characters embodying moods, communications, and emotions all came to life in my experiment below.
